St Osyth Summer Sounds is a free annual music and food festival bringing people together in the beautiful grounds of St Osyth Priory, on the Essex coast. Across two days, live music, chef demonstrations, family performances and creative activities fill this historic setting with opportunities to discover, take part and enjoy time together.
Produced by the charity Arts Trust Productions in partnership with St Osyth Priory, the festival brings established artists, emerging talent and local performers into a shared programme. From discovering a new band to joining a dance workshop or stumbling upon an unexpected performance, there is something to spark curiosity across the generations.
Food is at the heart of the experience. Rooted in a farm-to-fork ethos, the festival celebrates the region’s producers and the connections between food, place and community. Live demonstrations offer inspiration from accomplished chefs, while food traders, independent makers and craft stalls provide plenty to explore throughout the weekend.
Created with and for the people of Tendring, St Osyth Summer Sounds is shaped by local partnerships, community voices and the contribution of volunteers. It champions local creativity and enterprise while creating a welcoming place to meet neighbours, make friends and feel part of something shared.
With free entry and a commitment to widening access, the festival helps bring exceptional cultural experiences closer to home. Whether you come for the music, the food or a day out with family and friends, St Osyth Summer Sounds invites you to enjoy the best of the Essex coast together.
