King's Cross Summer Sounds

King’s Cross Summer Sounds is a free annual festival celebrating music, dance and the joy of coming together. Set against the distinctive architecture of Coal Drops Yard, it brings exceptional performances into the heart of London, inviting everyone to enjoy live music in a relaxed, open-air setting.

Produced by Arts Trust Productions in partnership with King’s Cross, the festival presents an adventurous programme spanning jazz, folk, soul, classical, indie and music from around the world. Internationally acclaimed artists share the programme with emerging musicians, community choirs and local performers, creating opportunities to encounter new sounds, discover a favourite artist and experience something unexpected.

Community is central to the festival. Collaborations with cultural organisations, artists and local groups help shape a programme that reflects London’s many cultures and creative voices. Alongside professional performances, opportunities for participation give people of different ages, backgrounds and abilities a chance to contribute to the festival themselves.

From evening concerts to family-friendly performances, Summer Sounds welcomes dedicated music lovers, curious passers-by, neighbours and visitors alike. Keeping performances free helps remove financial barriers and makes outstanding cultural experiences part of everyday life.

Whether you come for a particular performer, bring the family for an afternoon out or simply follow the music, King’s Cross Summer Sounds offers a place to pause, connect and enjoy the city together.
