Evelyn Glennie and Jon Sterckx bring together two remarkable musical worlds: the physical presence of acoustic percussion and the limitless possibilities of electronics. Their performances inhabit the space between the two, where a single struck sound can resonate, fracture, loop or transform into something entirely unexpected.

Alongside acoustic and electronic sound, they draw on varied musical backgrounds and influences, bringing together elements from different musical worlds and traditions, and reimagining existing repertoire through their distinctive shared language. Rhythms emerge, dissolve and reappear; textures shift from intimate and almost imperceptible to visceral and immersive. Their shared curiosity makes each performance feel alive and open-ended, balancing precision with spontaneity, acoustic immediacy with electronic imagination, and the familiar with the unexpected.

At the heart of this collaboration is a spirit of exploration and inclusion: performances are shaped to invite audiences in, whatever their musical background or level of familiarity, encouraging everyone to listen, discover and experience sound in their own way. The performance can be presented as a 60-minute set, or as two 40-minute sets with an interval, allowing the programme to be shaped to suit different venues, audiences and contexts.
