BHANGRA CEILIDH

Under band leader and composer Kuljit Bhamra MBE, with a dazzling lineup of musicians, the live sounds of tabla, melodeon and fiddle meld in a cross-cultural aural treat! With callers guiding you through the moves using gender-free instructions, dances are suitable for everyone. Come with your family, friends or on your own - ceilidhs are a great way to meet new people. Bhangra - (pronounced bang-ra or bung-ra) is a popular music and dance originating from folk traditions in the Punjab. Developed in Britain over recent decades and enjoyed by South Asian communities worldwide. Ceilidh – (pronounced kay-lee) is a traditional social folk dancing event with live music, with a common repertoire across Britain and Ireland and danced widely at celebrations and community events.
